Although permaculture is most commonly thought about in connection with gardening and farming, its principles, ethics and design methods can be adapted and used in each individual’s own work, interests, community and home to bring about a more harmonious and sustainable lifestyle.
This course will be particularly rich in people-based permaculture – along with lots of land-based content as well. This practical course will bring the possibility of significant and positive life changes.
3 day residential retreat held by Sue Holmes, working with animal spirit guides. Using the altered states of consciousness reached via movement and dance, drumming and breathwork, we will connect and shape-shift with our power animals – embodying and honouring their medicine. During the retreat we will sweat our prayers together in our sweat lodge, create symbolic artwork, journey with the elements and dream with our guides. On the last day we will have a cacao ceremony bringing us into our hearts for the final integration of the weeks work and blessings.
I will be providing an Inipi, a Lakota sweat lodge at the start and finish of this retreat.
Dates: October 21st (arrive 6-8pm) – October 24th (ends around 4pm)
Venue: Parsonage Side Retreat, Bridgwater, Somerset

An experiential weekend for adults, introducing the wisdom of the 8 Shields through deep nature connection and creative cultural activities. Participants will get to experience what it is like to be in a thriving, nature connected community that creates a safe space for everyone to be fully themselves. We all share the same blueprint of what we need to feel wholly connected to life, this weekend creates that space for connection. It is inspired and informed by the Art of Mentoring and the 8 Shields and is part of a movement to grow regenerative cultures around the world.
